Bluebonnet Birthday

I made this for my granddaughter, who lives overseas; wanted to send a greeting from Texas.
So thought these Bluebonnets were perfect since they are the state flower.
This is a new stamp Melanie Muenchinger from STTV, Fabulous Frames, I made templates
for the design, as her videos suggest; such a versital frame image for so many occasions.
I also used her State Flower #1 stamp for the images. They were colored with Intense Ink pencils.
then I used distress inks to blend the background. then colored the surrounding frame,
a one layer card that looks several layers. Neat, good for postage, an time.
Card stock is PTI white, and the ink an colors did not fad through.
think I will enjoy this image, now that I have made the templates for design and challenge.
Hope you enjoy, I love how it turned out.

This is the first card done in the stair -Melanie Muenchinger video on STTV and had to
step form. I sawtry the design. I used what stamps I had, but did have her Stately flower 5, and then my Stampabilites butterfly. One has to use butterflies? don't you think? I love them. I used the panpastel as watercolor this time, you saw the other ways to use them.  I am really enjoying and learning what they can do. and love howthis one turned out. Sentiments are from different sources. Going to send to my daughter. Hope you like the images. It was a joy to makes.....thanks for looking....Hugs.

Thinking of You

This masculine card was done for Impression Obsession Masculine challenge and entered challenge on Stamp TV as well,. It was to make wood without a folder, or wood . I used a wood stamp Distressed with Iron Red Gate, and colored also with Distress Pumice., to give the different colors on the frame. Frame was a Spellbinder die for ribbon thread. Teresa Momber on STTV, latest image OUT West 2 was used for the inspiration.  I love the western feel with Cactus, horses, and cowboy's. Live in Texas. I used distressing for the background , Memento inks, and twine and burlap from Spare Parts stash. My card stock is all PTI.  I don't have any stamps from IO only dies.

Impresssion Obession Challenge Masculine

When I saw the stamp Feather Finery from PTI, thought I had to have it. Then what to do with it?
But up came the right time, from Impression Obsession Challenge Masculine here. Then I saw the
video from Melanie Muenchinger here, from StampTV. I had to case it. I didn't have any of the stamps she
used for here creation, but mine from PTI seemed to fit the design and casing. I changed the background stamp to one I had, and didn't add the button, but rather Gems. I thought that our men can use encouragement so that is the statement. They do so much for us. I love how it turned out and I hope you do to. thank you for looking. All supplies were from PTI or stash....have a good day

Panpastel Ink

Thought I would share a new Media I found and just love. I am not a marker enthusiast. I just love my pencils. An was excited when I found this one to use with them for more techniques.
The media is useful, because, it is erasable, water can be added for effect, use with pencils as well. It is a
pastel that is low in dust as well and used as ink, has tools to use with it but you can use a brush or finger.
They come in sets or, single, and also in cakes with covers. Best of all NO Chemicals used with them, that to me just had to be looked into, and WOW! I love them.  These are my first cards with the panpastels, Have a look at them at :   http://www.dickblick.com/products/panpastel-artists-painting-pastels-sets/ whether you use them or not, it is fun to see an learn new products.
Thanks for looking, have a good day.

Valentine Birthday

Since my husbands birthday is on Valentines' Day,I usually make him two cards. Makes my brain over work. but worth it. One is called Love, and the other on Song In MY Heart. First  "Love" , Queen of Hearts Memory Box die, card stock PTI white, embossed with Paper Studio Macraco, ribbon Cranberry Crinkly from My Craft Spot, gems, stash, I then cut around sentiment with Friskars heartbeat scissors, thought that would add the extra feeling of a beating heart. Ink is then Memento Ink Love Bug. I decided to use the red print paper I had with XX for kisses. The extra gems are from stash. So Hugs and Kisses with hearts of love.

Song In My Heart, is the second one. I love this stamp from GK Because of You, and the music die is Party Music from Memory Box, fits perfect with the dancing couple. I used the same ink as the other one to accent, Friskars heartbeat scissors again, hearts a beating. Gems, stash, card stock is White and Autumn Rose form PTI,embossing folder with music is Cuttle bug. I love making these cards. last year I made a cake, cup, and place mat all from paper, a challenge each year to be creative. But he's worth it....thanks for looking.

Elliot's 21st Birthday

My grand-son will 21 this year. A big time in a young man's age. So I thought I would make a Big 21.I used PTI card-stock, white, and enchanted evening blue. the white cs was distressed with faded jeans, spiced marmalade, and festive berries. When I distressed I wiped across the cs not worrying how or where to achieve the background. I wanted it to be bright and many colors. Then the firecrackers and 21 was cut with the Independence Day Cricut and George and Basic Shapes with my expression machine.. Haven't used these for awhile , need to remember them more often. I covered the numbers and some of fireworks with Stickles gold an let dry over night. Spellbinders Scallop Heart  is edged with gel sliver pen..Fireworks on background are a stamp I have had for years. Memento ink, Rose Bud, and Danube BlueScalloped edge is an EK punch.

The inside has a firecracker on the note page. Like the way it turned out, just hope he does.......thanks for looking.

Winter Wind

I had colored this Sarah Kay, with colored pencils awhile ago, decided to use for a just because card.
I love to use Prisma colored pencils, the frame is Spellbinders classic rectangle Lrg. then I distressed the edges with Tea Dye. for that fall look. the corners are Martha Stewart snowflake. All the fall maple leaves were punched out with scraps of  leaves paper, and the punch is one I have had for yrs. It was small, and I like that touch. Base paper was Papertrey Ink, dark Coco. I like the weight of their paper.  You will notice on the right side the colored leaves. there is a strip inside the card of the fall leaves. and this card is cut not even for the leaves inside to show when closed. OH! almost forgot the Amira Flourish by Memory Box, and PTI Berry Sorbet cs is behind the image. Thought it added more color to the image .Hope you like her and........
thanks so much for looking.
